Layla’s First Shoot
Layla’s big sister recently started modelling which inspired her to give it a go, so she contacted Peter to set up her very first photoshoot ever. As Peter has been working with models for over 20 years, and sometimes only has 2 hours to get a shot, he has mastered the skill of getting a model comfortable quickly and give them a ‘crash course’ in modelling in a short amount of time. We think you’ll be as amazed as we were in the huge difference between the start to the end of this shoot.

Love it!!!! Peter, Layla and Abbey are stunning. I am commenting without having watched the videos 🙂 However, I am sure this is going to be as informative and entertaining as those with Abbey.
In a word… Amazing ! Well done you two and Congratulations to Layla ! Fabulous progress in so short a time. Cheers !
Layla was awesome, looking forward to working with her again next week
Peter….another great tutorial creating a Super Model.
Wonderful tutorial and photoshoot with Layla. Can you advise the brand of the 50mm lens? Can you advise how you got the black and white in camera? The pictures from the video look amazing on my M1 MacBook!
Thanks so much. The brand of the 50mm lens is 7Artisans, here’s a link to their website, https://www.7artisans.com/
And unless your camera is a black and white camera, you can’t shoot black and white RAW in camera, but with my mirrorless I can set my Jpeg to black and white so my Jpeg is B&W but my RAW is still in colour, and I don’t save jpeg I only save the RAW and then covert all my photos to B&W after 🙂 I hope that helps
What’s the software you’re using to thether. I can’t seem to find that viewer program.
The capture, view, and edit software i’m is using: Sony Image Edge, it’s only for Sony cameras and it’s free
Which sony are you shooting with. I’m considering to buy a Sony (my other cam is a Hasselblad), because my canon is rather old and I need to update it.
I’m shooting with the A1, I used to shoot with Cannon too but I much prefer the Sony. I still feel Nikon and Cannon are 2-3 years behind Sony
From start to finish what an impressive transformation Layla! You went from timid to radiant. A beautiful model with a very knowledgeable teacher. Well done!
