Look 5

Peter and model Rhiannon (or RaRa as we call her) have been working together for years and recently collaborated with her friend Daniel P for an editorial shoot. As Peter explains in the first video, he prefers to not ‘collaborate’ on shoots as it often ends up with the MUA or sylist taking over the shoot. Peter and Daniel had never worked together, and you will see how different their tastes are as they move through the shoot. This is followed by a retouching tutorial.

  • just enjoyed “the battle” of different minds – eventhough they booked You because of your style they want you to do their style .. unbelievable!

What is your main difference between flsh and constant light by the way? that in constant light you are being free to move or that you do not have “wait” till the flash is reloaded? what’s that difference?

    • Thanks heaps Ben, it was definitely a bit of a battle with conflicting opinions but at the end of the day we were all happy with the final shots. With the constant light I have more control over the shadows because I can see it instantly, but with flash set up takes longer as I have to take a photo and then adjust to get the look I’m after.

Having watched so many videos of you now it is easy to read the room and get the vibe in the studio.

From the very first sentence on the very first video I thought ‘uh ho Peter’s not a happy bunny’ and sure enough the tension never relaxed the whole shoot.

‘You can’t put an old head on young shoulders’ as they say, but it was great to be a fly on the wall and see how it progressed.

I would love to see what he posted on his blog though for his take on the day.

Brilliant thanks. Sometimes the ‘perfect’ videos are the ones which don’t go to plan.
