Sylph Playdate look 1 & some model training
Sylph and Peter only get to shoot about once a year when she comes to Melbourne. The two of them always look forward to spending the day creating, which Peter referred to as a ‘playdate’ – like when kids organise spending the day just playing together. These three looks go through the different lighting set ups Peter created as well as some model training. Sylph is a full time art nude model but the photographers she is used to working with are very different from Peter so he had to push to get his look out of her.

Hey Peter, wonderful session with a talented (not to mention pretty) model. Have you thought about dropping a mic above the model so we can hear what she is saying. Often times you and the model are having a conversation that we only hear one side. I think one the most important parts of Inspire is how to approach and manage the model during the shoot and it would help a lot if we heard both sides of the conversation.
Thanks Bob, it’s very hard to set up a boom on a model without employing more staff, we’ve tried it before, and all we did was get a lot of really noisy background noise. But will keep trying.
I listen on headphones and can hear the models perfectly, try that Bob see if it helps
