Shoot Pt 4
Peter and I travel for roughly 6 months of the year, but that doesn’t change working and shooting while on the road. We are lucky enough to get to work with amazing models from all over the world, such as the beautiful Carolina who we met last year during our Barcelona workshops. Peter couldn’t get his look out of her on the workshop as there were so many other people watching, and he was really excited to shoot properly with her this year.
As we don’t always have a studio available for shoots when travelling, you will be amazed at how Peter rearranges our Airbnb into a ‘studio’ (so many of his photos are taken by doing this)!

Unbelievable again Peter. Amazing images. Just madness that these can come from a cramped little room. Certainly is “Inspire”-ing.
Thanks Paul, we have no excuses to take great photos anywhere 🙂
Beautiful shoot, I like to see how Peter manages to reorganize a place with a nothing.
I really like :).
Thank you Peter for sharing
Thanks Heaps
You’re welcome Peter
Never get tired of the fly on the wall shoots. Feel like I always pick up something new. Thanks again, Peter!

Hi Peter,
I’m moving my question to here. Why do you shoot manually, if you are using the SONY/Zeiss body and lens? Also, do you always shoot horizontally and never vertically? What if the client needs a vertical image, say for print, a book or Z-card?
Thanks!
Hi Zac, I shoot manually with the Sony because all my lenses I use for photography are Zeiss primes and are manual focus, which allows me to focus whererver I want and not where the camera wants. I’ve been shoting with manual focus sicne I was 14 so I am very comfortable shooting this way, especially with focus peaking. When shooting for me I only shoot horizontally, because our eyes see things in landscape, but if a client needs a vertical image they yeah, I will shoot vertically for them. If the client is unsure, I will always shoot a fashion shot landscape because it can be cropped vertical but not the other way around.
Thanks for the reply, I did a video with a friend who is a fashion shooter in NYC and he too always shoots horizontal and I didn’t ask why. I really liked it when you switched the camera to vid mode and we saw what you actually see through the lens. For some reason, I was mostly watching you focus…you should include it more in future tutorials!
Yes we are planning to some focusing videos soon
Inspiring… Damn! Great work! Loved to watch that! I am now motivated more than ever .. and yes, Carolina is amazing!
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it 🙂 we can’t wait to shoot with Carolina again next year!
These 5 Videos……… What a great story and so much to take away.
Thank you.
Thanks so much Ron
