Shay Day One – Art
Shay came down to Melbourne recently to spend a couple days shooting and creating with Peter. These videos are from the 3 different looks they did on their first day playing around in the studio. The editing style of this is a bit different to the normal videos we put up as Peter had lost his voice at the time and has had to narrate it afterwards, any feedback on if you like the way this has been put together is welcomed!

I vote for some more of this format.
Thank you
If the models feel that more attention is directed at them, chances are they will give more effort back, just like musicians playing to a lively crowd. So this format should be a winner. Thanks for another excellent session Peter, I hope your voice recovers soon. And a huge shout-out to Shay, she was max. cool in the art shoot!
Love it. It’s another glimpse at your process, and as already stated, if the models are more relaxed, it’s more realistic. I found myself riding the pause button so I could see how things were changing, perhaps linger on some of the stills. Also love to see your favorites, so many that scrolled by were incredible. Thank you
Love this format!
Thanks Eric
This format works fine – I’m just used to the old one. How about a split format, the set up in hte old format and the actual shoot in the new?
Thanks, yes that’s what i was thinking
Love this format and also the teaching format. Maybe 70-30 would work.
Thanks for sharing.
I totally agree with the comments made so far. I can see how the models could feel a little like ‘2nd priority’ when you talk/teach during your vids. As you have taught, the interaction with the model is very important and getting her to produce the look you want is paramount!
I can easily watch and learn if you stay with this format!!
I like this format. As you comment throughout you give more feedback to your thought process as to the composition and settings. Benefit of the previous format is that the output screen is not significantly reduced so it’s much harder to tell what the images look like as they are taken. Maybe switch from the Final Cut screen to the Phocus screen while you are shooting and show the Final Cut screen while setup and interactions. I found it very useful to see the multiple screens at the same time and your comments of the process at the same time more enlightening.
I like the live format with the model but understand what the models have stated. I am grateful for your willingness to share and help us grow and therefore am more that happy with this format. I do not want to see you suffer in your business and want to see you to continue to prosper!!
Thought about it some more and wow that you that you are considering presenting these videos as voice overs. You are adding to your workload which is already packed for us! Thank you and what ever format works best for you I am good with.it!
Thank you Keith
