Jackson Shoot
Peter has been working with dancer Jackson Fisch for a few years before his move overseas to pursue full time dancing. He was home to visit his family and contacted Peter for another dance shoot, which is of course Peter’s favourite with the incredible shapes they can pull.
These tutorials follow the lighting set up for the shoot, as well as a fly-on-the-wall look at Peter and Jackson working together.

Cool thanks the Blog should be up next week
Really inspiring…. love the raw feel, like a sculpture!
Thanks I really like working minimal and not quite right
These images came out so good! By the way, what material is that he’s wearing? I love the look and how it moves.
Thanks so much, it’s a skirt made out of calico material.
Hi Peter,
I am novice when it came to photography, but all your videos usually have only 1 overhead light. That is how you do all commercial and fashion shoots, I have yet to watch natural light shoots the few I watched you use frontal overhead window for that.
Just wanted to ask is my observation correct?
Regards,
Mahir
Hi Mahir, I don’t always use one light from above, there’s a lot of videos on here with the lights in different angles. I use that lighting technique a lot though as the sun tends to be overhead and I like replicating the light of the sun. Thanks heaps
