Mirrors 2 – The Set Up
Following on from the the first mirrors tutorial, Peter wanted to get a different effect using the mirrors, so he found a smashed mirror out the back of the studio to play around with a dappled light look. As multiple lights create multiple shadows, you will see him tweak his set up to get around this.

Peter,
Which HDMI light are you using? You could do this also with strobe and modeling light correct? Why did you use the HDMI?
Thnaks
Hi Keith, I was using the Rayzr 4 Daylight 300 for this. Yeah you could use a strobe and modelling light, I used the HMI because I wanted to use the ambient as a fill light, and also the modelling light doesn’t give the exact effect of what the flash will do so it takes longer to get the look Im after. Thanks heaps
Peter,
May I ask what size mirrors did you use? How did you attach to the stands?
Thanks
the mirrors 300 x 250 and 350 x 400mm held with hardware clamps
Thank you
