Each light has it’s pros and cons, and we know sometimes it can be hard to decide which one to use for your shoot. In this tutorial, Peter uses Flash light, HMI, and and LED light to show you the difference between the three and also give you some ideas about when and why you would use each.

Thanks for this informative comparison, Peter! I am seriously considering buying an LED for use with my mirrorless body for the “what you see is what you get” advantage (plus my old flash triggers are not compatible with my new mirrorless camera). The LED with softbox or globe produces a very pretty light.
