Beauty Dish Clam Shell
Clamshell is a style of lighting that can be done with a whole range of modifiers, and using two beauty dishes gives an amazing chrome look to the skin. In this tutorial Peter will show you how he sets it up and how different you can make the fall off of the lighting by changing the position!
Peter’s camera settings:
Shutter speed: 1/250
Aperture: f/8
Iso: 100

When you get comments about how you have such expensive equipment, you can point out your wind machine is a tattered piece of cardboard:)
It’s a very expensive piece of cardboard
So expensive that it came with a free beauty dish? 🙂
Great shoot!
Thanks
Peter, I very much like your tutorials, especially the light set up explanations. I would very much appreciate if Bec can show us more about the distance of the lights from the model and the backround by walking around. Sometimes It is hard to imagine the distance from the front perspective. Thank you very much!
Thanks I will pass this on to Bec 🙂
Thanks for the details in your explaining of what your looking at when setting up lights. In the final sequence of shots Anne really came alive adding so much personality and warmth in her expression, eyes, soft smile.
Thanks so much Gary, glad you enjoyed it
