The difference in creating without being videoed
We often get asked if certain shoots will have a tutorial or BTS video to show the creation of the final images, but not every shoot Peter does is filmed as he finds he creates his best work when there isn’t the added pressure on himself and the model to film. In this tutorial, he talks through this and shows some of the work created when extra cameras aren’t on. This is followed by a retouch from the shoot.

I have to revisit your video on your d&B and cutting layers now. I watched it early in my membership, but I wasn’t ready to absorb the lesson yet. But watching the detail come out in the boots and the skirt in this shows me some of what I’m missing in my own images, and now I’m ready to learn that part. What a great, great shoot.
Thank you I am going to revisit my Photoshop tutorials and explain it differently and make it more about what’s important and what’s not important.
Quick question, is there a specific video in the retouching section you would recommend I go to for dodging / burning & cutting?
Yes this is the tutorial on my cutting layer https://inspire.peter-coulson.com.au/workshops/retouching/introduction-to-photoshop/cutting-layer and here is one on my dodge & burn https://inspire.peter-coulson.com.au/workshops/retouching/introduction-to-photoshop/dodge-burn and I will be doing new videos on them very soon
Just watched the video and thinking same thing; trying to understand how the cutting layer works and I need to do some trying in PS
Great video. Always learn something new.
Thanks
OMG Peter, you rendered Shay great, these Daphne Guinness shoes, the axt, and Shay’s modeling talent.
