Evelyn’s New Portfolio Shoot
Peter and Evelyn haven’t shot together in ages, and she has recently been doing a lot of e-commerce work so she wanted to get some new fresh images for her socials and folio to liven it up. It was hard for Evelyn at first to get out of doing her set poses she is used to for her e-comm work but it doesn’t take long for Peter to get her back to drifting and giving eyes.

Just love Evelyn’s smile, it makes the heart warm and smile!! Thank you Peter for sharing your talent and creativity, always the great teacher!!!
Took away a lot of information on how to help let a model free flow to help us as photographers. Thank you all.
Great tutorial. I want to be able to minimally direct models in this way and still get the great poses. There is always more to learn.
Peter,
I love the video. Historically I have been an amateur travel photographer but recently my best friends wife, who was a NYC based model in the 80s, decided she wanted to try and get back into the game in a minor way. New promo/head shots were out of her budget so she asked me to do it. Never backing down from a challenge it told her sure…no big deal….LOL. Thankfully I had already been following you for a while so i figured, why the hell not. FIgured the worst thing that can happen is we delete them and hire a “professional” when she can. Apparently what I did take was enough for her to start getting phone calls for modeling/bit-part movie work almost immediately. All that to say your instruction technique is very digestible by a layman and translates well into useable skills.
Thanks again!
One question, I am curious what camera stand do you use in the studio?
Randy
Thanks Randy
The brand of stand he uses has been discontinued, but this is very similar https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/4986-REG/Manfrotto_816_Super_Salon_280_Camera.html
