Slow Shutter Drag With Multi Flashes
Peter uses this 1 second exposure trick a lot with his fashion clients as it creates a surreal effect that is great for hero shots and advertising. This in camera trick can’t be replicated in photoshop, and you will never get the same photo twice!

Hi Peter,
Absolutely wonderful and very inspiring.
I really like this game of movement that brings an experimentation of the photography
Thanks heaps Yves, clients always love this for hero shots
Some of these remind me of old large-format plate portraits where the sitter had to keep still for multiple seconds, often giving a similar slightly surreal effect. Very cool!
Yes they do thanks
Thanks, Peter. This is going to be fun, both for me and for the model.
We did a shoot a few weeks ago where she had ten sets of arms, but this gives me new ideas.
Awesome now go play
Hi Peter
I have used ICM outside for years but never tried it in the studio. You’ve opened up a whole new world! And am I ever having fun with it …
I’m happy I have opened up your world 🙂
I love this slow shutter drag. I’m gonna try it.
But what was also amazing was that video you did with RaRa… How did you pull that off? It was jaw dropping amazing.
This is cool, Years ago when I did Night club Photography the trend moved into Shutter Drag. I recall I did 2 second drags using my Speedlight as the flash source, and the drag to capture the neon and ambient lights. it was hit an miss but some of it was cool.
I did the same in night clubs
