Peter discusses his all his mood boards. He discusses how creates them, to how they help him with making his photography better through teaching himself what he likes, coming up with concepts, and also the individual models mood boards.

That one photo of Laetitia Casta is in your main storyboards folder at least three times, so I guess you really like that one. 😀 (Me too. It’s really striking, and I’ve found over time that I gravitate towards photographers who are reminiscent of that style.)
Great vid. Turns out I’m doing roughly the same thing as you, just on a much smaller scale as I’ve been doing it for a far shorter time than you. But your collection is impressive, and this vid is actually going to spur me to refresh mine and get out some of the things that I have progressed past for the moment.
Cheers!
Peter, I just feel like you have been in my head and spoke everything I feel. I have so many of those same images in my inspo file for all the same reasons. We have the same thoughts on so many similar images, but I’m glad it’s not because I just follow you. Your work speaks to me the same way as so many of those shots, and those of the masters, and from my first connection to the portraits and fashion work of the 90’s. I feel like you just showed my file and told the world for me why I like them. Not that I can make any other comparison to you, skill and talent wise I’ve much to learn. It’s just cool to know other people like the same work for the same reasons, especially when the models i get to shoot with don’t care about the dream, the goal, the look. Cheers, Paul
Really enjoyed this video, I do the same (except I create a powerpoint presentation). However this video has made me start to go through them and type why i like them and it really gets ideas going
Hi Peter, what are good sources of images? As you mentioned, Insta is pretty limited.
Thanks
Simon
Hi Simon are used to use tumblr but they’re now G rated as well but I get most of my new work off X and models.com
Wonderful vid Peter. Thank you. As you were talking I was stuck by how collecting images is a bit of a journey. Sometimes it isn’t immediately apparent why an image has been collected, as you say ‘something speaks to you’ and that is enough.
With that thought it mind, I guess this type of moodboard collection becomes a continued source of inspiration for new projects and shoot ideas. Certainly something to reflect on in the search to shoot what you love. Bravo.
great vid peter , i love the way you think
Hi. Peter i have a lighting question about the lighting on Ra Ra
you said it was done with a projector, did you use 1 slide or 2 slides?
Vincent
Are used a video projector connected to Photoshop and I just painted with different brushes white onto a black background and then Project that onto RaRa
