Welcome to our AirBnb in LA! We use this accomadation to live and shoot. In this tutorial, I go through my process of picking the location, why, and what I look for to make sure it will be great to shoot in.
The way I explain this is applicable to any home, hotel or location. You do not need fancy studios or houses to shoot in – And I explain why!

When booking an AirBnB, do you typically tell the owner that you will be using the space to shoot? I have heard of photographers having problems from having models who were not staying there coming into the home to do a shoot.
Hi David! No we don’t tell the owner we will be using the space to shoot, because they generally don’t allow it. We always say we are travelling for business and will be attending a few meetings. When listing the guests, we list Peter’s wife, and myself but if we plan on doing a few shoots while staying there, we will often list his daughter as a guest too. We have not had any issues doing this 🙂 I hope this helps!
