Underexposure Retouching in Lightroom
In a previous tutorial from when we were in Fiji shooting on the beach, Peter mentioned that often underexposes to protect his highlights and then he brings the photo back up in post (click here for the tutorial). This tutorial shows you how he does that using Lightroom.

Many thanks for this video. Please, never feel sorry for sharing images even thou it was not just after taking them. Didn’t you mention in your videos about timeless photographs? Here you have them.
I had always thought that overexposing was better than underexposing because it was easier to reduce light than increase it, but I see I was wrong.
The worst thing that happens if you’re too far under is you create some noise in the shadows but if you’re over you lose all detail in the highlights which you can’t recover.
